This summer I found out that Star Wars is amazing. I haven't watched all 6 yet and I can't wait to see them all.

Sometimes I just wish that she could shut up so that I could have a few minutes of silence, and peace.

I think that I love too much silence because I spent my whole life living in too much noise and discussions.

On the other day I was shopping with my mother and my sister and I saw this sign language dictionary. So I told my mother that I really wanted to buy it, maybe she could offer me as a Christmas present. And she just said, "Why do you want that?". I did not even answered, because she would't understand. I wanted that dictionary because I want to be able to communicate with everyone. I want to understand mutes and I want deaf people to understand what I want to say to them. It's the same reason I write this blog in English.
And also because I wanted to expand on what I can say in sign language, I only know the alphabet and some words.

I think that sign language should be taught in school.

I have 3 dogs, they were all stray. I don't understand those people that buy their dogs instead of going to kennels and adopt one. There are so many dogs out there that need an owner to love them and feed them and give them pampering.

I'm sorry that I've be out for a few days, but I've been studying for a math test that I have tomorrow.
I don't understand why people do not like math. I love math, I've always loved it. I think math is fun. Maybe I love math because I like everything that involves problems; I love puzzles, crosswords, riddles, anything that makes you think. I still remember when I was 4, 5 years old (and I still couldn't read) and I wanted to do word search so I looked letter by letter. I used to take plenty of time just to find one, but I had a really good time.

On the other day I read this on a blog. It's a really sad story.

"I just read a comment from a 2004 article by the New York Times about the loneliest whale in the world . Scientists have been tracking her since 1992 and they discovered the problem: she isn't like any other baleen whale. Unlike all other whales, she doens't have friends. She doesn't have a family. She doesn't belong to any tribe, pack or gang. She doesnt have a lover. She never had one. Her songs come in groups of two to six calls, lasting for five to six seconds each. But her voice is unlike any other baleen whale. It is unique - while the rest of her kind communicate between 12 and 25hz, she sings at 51.75 hz. You see, that's precisely the problem. Requiem For A Dream

Last summer I saw this movie, 11 years after being released. It's a great movie, it shows how drug use can destroy our lives and how fast this can happen and it also show us what people are capable of doing to get money to buy drugs.

Of the films I've seen about this subject, this is the best explanatory. When it comes to books I advise you to read "The sons of the drug" by Christiane F.

Quando descobri que ia a Londres pensei que algumas das primeiras coisas que veria seriam, talvez, os táxis, as cabines, os autocarros, os carros com o volante no lado direito, um milhão de outras coisas. Mas nunca pensei que seria isto:

Um cartaz a fazer publicidade do meu país. E o slogan é lindo "The Beaty of Simplicity". E é verdade Portugal é lindo, não tem aqueles arranha-céus que impedem as pessoas de ver o céu na sua plenitude e beleza, tem belas praias para quem gosta de praia, tem muitas e grandes serras para quem gosta de estar em contacto com a natureza, também tem belíssimos monumentos para  quem é amante de história.

Last year in English class we had to do a paper about multiculturalism and a group showed us a great video about racism and this is the story, more or less:

“A white woman, about 51 years old, was seated next to a black man on an airplane. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air hostess. “Madam, what is the matter?” the hostess asked. “You obviously do not see it,” she responded. “You placed me next to a black man. I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat.” “Be calm please,” the hostess replied. “Almost all the places on this flight are taken. I will go to see if another place is available.” The Hostess went away and then came back a few minutes later. “Madam, I spoke to the captain and he informed me that there is also no seat in the business class. All the same, we still have one place in the first class.” Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued, “It is not usual for our company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in the first class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting.” The hostess turned to the black man and said “Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in first class.” At that moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had just witnessed stood up and applauded.”

I loved this video. We should all unite against people like this stupid women.

We are all equals. No one should be judge because of their race or someone in their family or country done something horrible.

Hi! In portuguese we're studying Fernando Pessoa. One of the greatest portuguese poets. I've always knew he was a great poet, but I didn't know he was this talented. It's bad that the world only found his talent after his death. But this is what happens in our life, we do not know the true value of something until we lose it. For example, we only discover the true value of a friend when we lost that friend.
